CIRCA is an intimate search of the “origin of self,” exploring how identity is constructed, formed, and influenced. Born from a fascination with the subconscious mind, the body of work attempts to visualize the complex interconnected structures that lie beneath the physical form. Through the use of relief printing and video art, CIRCA features contrasting environments of intricate stillness and turbulent commotion. As if looking through windows into the unknown, the spectator is invited to get lost between fleeting glimpses of clarity and obscurity.
